We will be using the modified 2020 rubric which only required the use of 5 documents. Although the College Board has gone back to the original rubric/style, the 5 document DBQ for this assignment is more than adequate to practice writing a document based question. Their are only slight differences in the rubric, but what you have to DO is essentially the same. Your responses should include the following (based off of rubric points): Thesis: Present a thesis that makes a historically defensible claim and responds to all parts of the question. The thesis must consist of one or more sentences located in one place, either in the introduction or the conclusion. (Preferably Introduction) Argument Development: Develop and support a cohesive argument that recognizes and accounts for historical complexity by explicitly illustrating relationships among historical evidence such as contradiction, corroboration, and/or qualification. (Pay attention to the historical skill being asked in the prompt. I.e. Comparison, Causation, etc) Use of the Documents: Utilize the content of at least four of the documents to support the stated thesis or a relevant argument.
