This Exam contains:

-Guarantee passing score -10 Questions and Answers -format set of multiple-choice -Expert-Verified Explanation

Question 1: What are your weaknesses?

Answer:

-I tend to over think things, especially when I learn something new, I tend to really want to get it right and so I'll spend too much time thinking about it in my head.

Question 2: Why did you decide to become a CNA?

Answer:

I had always aspired to be a doctor, but my decision changed more so after I started high school. I took many health related classes to expand my horizon on what speciality I wanted to do. But my decision to become a Nurse developed towards my later years of high school, so I decided to take the CNA course to get some exposure into the healthcare field before college.Question 3: A time when you had to do something difficult, what you actually did, how it turned out, or if it did not turn out well, what you learned for next time?

Answer:

There was a night when we were understaffed, just two CNAs for one hall, so roughly around 20pts to care for. Most of the residents on that hall were 2 assist so it was a rough night. I did encounter a dilemma though, my fellow co-worker was busy assisting a resident and I had a call light for a resident wanting to use the restroom and this resident is normally a 2-assist. Although I thought strategically and put a gait belt on the resident and utilized the bar in the bathroom so the resident could use the restroom instead of having to wait for me to call another co-worker.

Question 4: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Answer:

I'm very excited to be able to further my career as a CNA in a hospital! Since this is the kind of experience I will need in the future, this job will allow me to gain the confidence I will need to become a good RN. I am currently in my second year of Nursing School, so I would like to complete my BSN first. But for now, I would like to focus on gaining further experience as a CNA.

Question 5: Tell us about yourself

Answer:

I've always wanted a career in the healthcare field, and my desire to work in this field grew stronger after I completed my CNA course and worked as a CNA in a long term care facility. I enjoy helping people greatly, it gives me a highly rewarding feeling.

Question 6: What are your strengths?

Answer:

I'm solution oriented, as well as goal oriented. I enjoy setting goals that I can achieve and feel successful. I am also punctual, I absolutely dislike being late. My biggest strength would have to be that

I am trilingual: I can speak, English, Hindi, & Gujarati.

Question 7: What would you do if a patient refused care?

Answer:

I wouldn't force them if they did not want care at the moment, but I would check up on them from time to time to make sure that they're alright and to continue asking if they would like care.Question 8: Tell us about a time when you had to deal with a difficult client/ Pt

Answer:

There was a time when I worked with a resident that preferred things a certain way. This resident would have me wait in the restroom with her, because she had scoliosis in her back and did not like having to sit in the restroom for long periods of time waiting for someone to come attend her call light. I understood her concern and waited by her side when she used the restroom and assisted her back to her chair afterwards to ensure she was comfortable.

Question 9: What would you do if a pt became aggressive/ combative?

Answer:

We actually had a resident that was very combative at the Nursing home. Always refused care whenever we asked or tried to help. So I always tried to go and talk to her during my downtime to try and build a connection with her so she would allow us to give care. Sometimes it worked and sometimes I was not successful in doing so. So we would just report it to our charge nurse and hope to come back at a later time and try again.

Question 10: Why did you leave your last job?

Answer:

It was incredibly hard for me to leave my last job, simply because I had a connection with all my residents and my co-workers. But I moved to Edwardsville for Nursing School, so I had to let go. I enjoyed working with Geriatric pts very much, although it requires a great amount of patience to work with them.
