Question 1: Peri Care

Answer:

  • Introduce, obtain consent

  • Note volume of urine in CC's and then pour into toilet
  • Rinse cylinder a couple times into toilet, then dry like you dry a basin
  • Put cylinder away and barrier into dirty linen
  • Take off gloves, give call light, ask about needs
  • Open curtain and wash hands

Question 7: Handwashing

Answer:

  • Turn water on, wet hands.
  • Put soap on, lather for 20-30 seconds. Clean wrists and under nails!
  • Rinse soap off
  • Tap fingertips together over sink to drip off excess water. DO NOT shake hands
