platform lying alongside or projecting into water for loading and
unloading ships (Oxford Languages). Question 1.1. (3 marks)
Identify the type of rhyme used in the poem. Provide a reason
and a quotation from the poem in support of your answer.
Question 1.2. (3 marks) Identify the simile in the poem and
explain the effect of this simile. Question 1.3. (6 marks) Write a
paragraph in which you explain how mimicry may be used to
make the poem come alive for learners. Refer closely to the
poem in your discussion. A mark out of two will be awarded for
