HIS 100 MODULE FIVE ACTIVITY: HISTORICAL INTERPRETATIONS Southern New Hampshire University 

Identify the topic you chose to explore:
• The Iranian Revolution
Describe how exploring your research question improved your understanding of the
historical roots of your current event.
• Exploring the research question improved my understanding on my topic especially seeing
how the difference is between other Islamic countries within the Middle East.
My research question allowed me to view the impact of the revolution did on the rights for
woman and seeing it from their view point. If having the understanding and education to know
what the revolution was about maybe things would not have gone the way, it did.
Explain how biased perspectives influence what is known about both your historical and
current events.
• Having a topic that influenced the world in a major way it is important to understand weather
the resource would be biased towards the Islamic country of Iran due to the current events of
today and/or past of what the Islamic republic has done and caused. My topic does heavily
relate to the Islamic religion and due to the biased attention, the religion has created due to
extremist biased perspective can create a false narrative to individuals researching this topic.
