- History of Present Illness (HPI): John reports that the knee
pain started a week ago after he twisted his knee while playing
basketball. The pain is sharp and localized to the right knee. Healso notes swelling and difficulty bearing weight on the affected
leg. He denies any previous knee injuries or surgeries.
- Past Medical History (PMH): No significant medical history.
- Family History (FH): Father has osteoarthritis. Mother has
hypertension.
- Social History (SH): John is a non-smoker and consumes
alcohol occasionally. He works as a construction worker and is
physically active.
- Review of Systems (ROS):
- Musculoskeletal: Severe knee pain, swelling, difficulty
bearing weight.
- Cardiovascular: No chest pain, palpitations.
- Respiratory: No shortness of breath, cough, or wheezing.
- Gastrointestinal: No nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain.
- Neurological: No dizziness, syncope, or weakness.
