dysmenorrhea, inhibition of platelet aggregation (aspirin)

-monitorfor GI bleeds, other signs of bleeding,I's and O's, tinnitus, diaphoresis, headache,
dizziness, respiratory alkalosis, rises in BUN and creatinine, MI and CVA
-test for H pylori infection
- recommend
proton pump inhibitorfor ppl at risk for GI bleeds, tylenol for children under 18 w viral infections,
low dose for prevention of MI

-Avoid alcohol
-Report signs of GI bleed or prolonged GI irritation
-Report any unusual or prolonged bleeding
-Report changes in weight, urine output or edema/fluid retention
-Report chest pain, heaviness, shortness of breath, sudden and severe headache, numbness,
weakness, visual disturbances, or confusion
