Treats
anaphylaxis,shock and cardiac arrest, bronchoconstriction. Action
Increases CO, blood flow, BP, causes bronchodilation.
AEs
dysrhythmias, HTN, excess CNS stimulation.
2. Norepinephrine (Levophed) IV drip
Answer
Adrenergic drug - SNS stimulation Action
stimulates alpha receptors only--vasoconstriction
Use
severe hypotension, stimulates vasoconstriction -> increasing BP AEs" severe decrease in blood
flow to periphery (decreases it further) NIs
assess cap refill, pulses, and temp.
