Solution Manual For Learning About Immigration Law 4th Edition Constantinos E Scaros

PURPOSE AND PERSPECTIVE OF THE CHAPTER
The purpose of this chapter is to familiarize students with situations and concepts which
motivate United States immigration law. These include, first, that the United States, due
to its high standard of living and personal freedoms, is the most popular country in the
world to relocate to. Second, no country, the United States included, can accommodate
an unlimited number of people moving into it without compromising the quality of life for
all residents, including newcomers. Third, if only a portion of prospective immigrants can
be accepted, what is the basis for selecting who is accepted? Lastly, the chapter
introduces an accurate and noncontroversial expression for persons in the United
States illegally.
