(Refer to Table 1-1: Daily Duties of Medical Assistants and PowerPoint Slide 3) o Distinguish type of facility, kind of specialty, etc. o Describe role of medical assistant as patient navigator, to coordinate resources and connect diverse professionals for care.  Discussion Points o Discuss the variety of settings in which medical assistants can work and the roles they can play in each. o Describe the role of the medical assistant as a patient navigator, and the importance of the medical assistant as a link between collaborating professionals to ensure integ patient care.  Learning Activities o Give each student a large piece of art paper.
