 ANSWER : Thyrotropin releasing hormone -> thyroid stimulating hormone The hormone
released from the hypothalamus that stimulates the thyroid gland to secrete T3 (triiodothyronine),
T4 (thyroxine), and calcitonin is called Thyroid-Releasing Hormone (TRH). TRH is produced by
the hypothalamus and released into the bloodstream. It travels to the anterior pituitary gland,
where it stimulates the release of Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), which in turn stimulates
the thyroid gland to produce and secrete T3, T4, and calcitonin.
What does T3 and T4 do?
 ANSWER : regulates metabolism
