BIOCHEMIE

Mogelijke definities biochemie:

• De studie van alle chemische processen in levende organismen.• De biochemie bestudeert hoe de levenloze moleculen waaruit levende organismen bestaan met elkaar interageren om leven te genereren, te onderhouden en verder te zetten.• De biochemie beschrijft de interacties tussen de moleculaire componenten van cellen, weefsels en organismen om op die manier de fysiologische en organismale realiteit te verklaren.

FUNCTIONELE GROEPEN

Bovenaan een carbonylgroep (aldehyde), rechts onderaan een hydroxylgroep.
