If cannot fully extend outriggers, on rubber chart should be used. Unless have load chart for partially extended.

Outrigger Pads Must be 90° angle to cylinder.

Mats and Blocking used to distribute bearing pressure.

Never block under outrigger beams.

Spans and gapped blocking fails at 50% load and destroys pads.

Swing Clearance - Swing clearance must be barricaded. (2' outside swing radius)

Plus add to excessive boom side loading and sheeve wear.

Greatest Ground Pressure Exerted By Crane? - Over rear corner (outriggers)

Greatest Crane Lifting Capacity? - Rear (outriggers and crawlers)

Distance from Excavations? - 1.5 ratio, I.E 10' Deep Excavation

10x1.5=15' from outrigger pad.

Newly Compacted Soil near walls is a 1-1 ratio.
